News

  • The Warhammer 40,000 Championships event sold out at 512! Wow, what a milestone. However, if you missed out do not dispair, an event this big is almost assured to have drops between now and go time. So, get on the wait list here, and we will alert people as tickets become available. Hopefully you can snag one!

  • Make sure to book your room if you have not done so, our room block availability comes up at the end of the month. Click here to do so.
  • The Infinity events at the LVO sold out but we added 10 more slots for each day yesterday and are already down to 2 spots left, so if you want to participate, please jump in and grab those tickets sooner than later.
  • We’re getting very excited for the big event, and it is less than two months away, which is crazy. We will be having some terrain build days coming up for those that are available to help out!

  • Dark Angels are on the way! GW has shown a few teasers of what to expect.

  • The ITC Champion’s Missions have been updated. Thank you so much for all of the great feedback. Most of the ideas that have been implemented in it came from all of you. Check them out if you have not had the chance to, yet. These will be what we’re playing at LVO.

Tactics Corner

  • Blood Angels are going to make a splash in the competitive scene.
    • Don’t overly concentrate on character support at the expense of not enough bodies and CP unless you are going for a Hero Hammer style army.
    • Focus on 1-2 hammer units that will absorb most of your support, and the rest of your army helps them do their thing and focuses on winning missions.
    • Further tactical discussion.

Looking forward to seeing the Dark Angels, i have a whole bunch of marines and dark angels built up lying around unpainted from a battle company i started at the end of 7th that im looking to start working on. I could do them as regular marines (Bobby G + gunline) but that seems extremely boring. Hopefully the DA codex gives me a reason to get working on some black knights and dark shrouds again!

They play in a very unique style, it’s different than the other Marines, IMO.

Congratulations on hitting that monumental milestone Frontline! I can’t wait for the event. It almost seems like you guys may need more space in 2019!

The problem with conscripts is that they’re completelly outclassed by Infantry squads. Right?

    • Ytook December 7, 2017 3:02 am #

Depends, if you only care about screening then having a 30 man unit to be effected by stratagems and psychic powers that buff defence is very useful as opposed to individual 10 man units or blobs of infantry if you spend the CP.

Whether that’s worth 3 or 4 points per model is debatable but personally at least I’m fine with it, Conscripts are a good meat shield because of their numbers but that’s it, it’s what they really should have been from the start. They’re still in competitive lists so that’s something.

Writting up Orks in the spreadsheet now…
Talk to me. Nobz Cybork body. 5 points, for 6+++….
    It’s a defensive upgrade… that makes the Nob… less defensive per point…
It also makes it do less damage per point by increasing the point cost.
    Wow.

I miss the 9th age podcast. But I understand also there wouldn’t be much to talk about as AoS is in a depressing dryspell right now. I hope next year is better.

Loving Reece’s little ‘la la-la’ at the end there.
