New Roll to Seize: The Armoured Company

With LVO only a few days away, we look at a rarely seen Tau list that just might surprise you…

Roll To Seize Ep. 31 - The Armoured Company

Remember to check the tactics corner for more great content!

Jay and Andrew take in the craziness of the Fall of Cadia and look to what might be coming next. All these alliances should help distract from the many mistakes they made at this month’s LVO prep. In the Brown Library, we dust off some old Tau technology and see if these blue badasses can compete without their robots.

Seizes of the Month:
Jay: Even though you can, you shouldn’t always infiltrate
Andrew: Sometimes “Red Rover” is the greatest weapon in your army

Brown Library:
We take a long look at the many Tau tanks and bring some new life back to your dusty Devilfishes.

I’m trying to write up the Armored Company as described but I keep going over 1850 points.

    420 Hammerhead x3 + Longstrike
    125 Hammerhead
    125 Hammerhead
    115 Skyray
    124 Pathfinders x4 + Devilfish
    185 Breachers x10 + Devilfish +DPod
    185 Breachers x10 + Devilfish +DPod
    185 Breachers x10 + Devilfish +DPod
    130 Ghostkeel
    130 Ghostkeel
    130 Ghostkeel

    =1854
And that’s without adding submunitions or pods to the hammerheads, or those special shield drones to the breachers, or upgrading the ghostkeels’ secondary weapons.

Hey Dakkath, when the episode was recorded, I had completely forgotten about the cost of the pathfinders which inflated the cost by a lot. The final list as posted on the website was slightly adjusted by reducing the number of breachers per squad, and subbing out 1 railhead. Sorry about the confusion, twas a busy week. Here is the final list:
    Counterstrike Cadre
x8 breachers, guardian drone, shas’ui, devilfish, disruption pod, sensor spines 194
x8 breachers, guardian drone, shas’ui, devilfish, disruption pod, sensor spines 194
x8 breachers, guardian drone, shas’ui, devilfish, disruption pod, sensor spines 194
    x5 pathfinders, devilfish 124
    Ghostkeel Wing
Ghostkeel, ion raker, TL fusion blaster, EWO 145
Ghostkeel, ion raker, TL fusion blaster, EWO 145
Ghostkeel, ion raker, TL fusion blaster, EWO 145
    Interdiction Cadre
x2 hammerheads, railguns, submunitions, twin linked SMS, longstrike, sensor spines 310
Hammerhead, x2 long barreled burst cannons, twin linked SMS, sensor spines, black sun filter, counterfire defense system 141
Hammerhead, x2 long barreled burst cannons, twin linked SMS, sensor spines, black sun filter, counterfire defense system 141
Skyray, twin linked SMS, black sun filter 116

    TOTAL: 1849

Again apologies for screwing up the costs, my brain was in overdrive that day.
