Announcing the Bay Area Open 2016

The Bay Area Open is back, baby!

Purchase your event tickets, here.

It’s back! The Bay Area Open is the event that started everything for Frontline Gaming, and we’re pleased to announce the 6th year of this premiere 40k tournament! We’re pleased to announce a partnership with Game Kastle, and will be hosting the tournament in their new event center, located at 550 Showers Dr, Mountain View, CA 94040.

This venue has been built for large tournaments and due to the size, we will have room for 200 players, this year! This will be the largest BAO to date and qualifies as a large Major Event for the ITC, and will be generating a ton of points for those who attend! Make sure to grab your tickets early, as the event sold out in 2 weeks last year with a 30 person wait list. You can purchase those tickets, here. We look forward to hosting you for the biggest and best BAO to date. Oh, and as a nice bonus, as we were able to work out a good deal this year on the venue and were able to save a significant amount of money and are passing those savings on to you! So in addition to being the biggest BAO it will also be the most affordable as well. Winning!

What: A Warhammer 40k Tournament

When: July 16th and 17th

Where: 550 Showers Dr., Mountain View, California 94040

Why: Because 40k tournaments are awesome!

Pants” Bajramovic was the champ last year, with the likes of InControl, Steve Sisk, Tomb King, JY2 and many other top notch players all in the hunt for the win! This year promises to provide more of the same exciting 40k action!

This will of course, be an ITC format tournament.

Please make sure to order porta potties as the game center only has 1 toilet! OSHA requires 1/15 people FYI 🙂

    Yay BAO!

    you guys see this?

If not I vote you just copy paste the entirety of the ITC faq and go “how’d we do? Make better rules please. Kthxbye”

Yeah, we saw that. We’ll see how GW handles the deluge of questions they are sure to get.

Maybe it would be worth it though to organize ITC folks to just post on the thread the FAQ and ask about it. I honestly would not be surprised if they’ve never even heard about it, let alone read it. So just hammering the message home that we’re really grappling with all these rule conundrums may make them take more drastic action.

I just fear that they’ll see the list of 500 replies, take the first 20 (of which 10 im sure probably arnt even questions) and call it a day. whereas if they see 500 posts all of “is THIS what you meant?” might.. help. Somehow…

We’re closer to 1,000 rules questions now, honestly. It’s crazy. But yeah, it is such a daunting task, we’ll see how it goes.

Just 40K? Any workshops, demos, etc? Trying to talk some casuals into it and I need more than drinking. They say they can do that at home.

Will DFTSkies be part of ITC at the BAO? Wondering if I should pick up a pair of stormhawks for my WarConv. Could be a sneaker play that wrecks reserve players.

We will be voting on this, this month, so we will know shortly how we will interact with DftS.
