BA formation you were thinking of is called Angel’s Fury Spearhead Force; it’s in White Dwarf 47 for those that want to check it out. Dante is another way to re-roll reserve on the assault unit coming in on turn 2, although he’s pretty expensive so it might be hard to fit him in unless it’s 2000 points. IIRC guys did a list review on a really cool Death Company list using the formation a month or two ago.

They can’t have used Death Company, the angels fury spearhead formation requires 3 Tactical Squads, 3 Stormraven Gunships
