    Didn’t really learn anything new from this, but it still makes me impatient for the game to come out already…

      Is it only me or has it been no information regarding dropzone commander the latest week? It is supposed to be released soon but I can’t find any more battlereports, previews or any other new information on the web. I’m thinking they need to hype it up much more.,,

        I’ve been keeping my eye on it and they are just gearing up for release and finalizing the rules. That is a bit of a concern that the rules aren’t done this close to release, but they plan on supporting them with updates on their website, so we’ll see.

        I am still very excited for the game, it looks pretty awesome.

          Yeah, everything seems to be really good. I really like the part with the units:

          Infantry to go into buildings and shoot out.
          Elite-infantry to clear buildings of enemy infantry.
          Tanks to hold and move the objectives when they have been removed from the buildings and to hunt APC.
          APC to move the infantry into position.
          Command tanks to provide with tactical cards.
          Special tanks to destroy buildings, preferable with enemy infantry still inside.
          Flyers that kick ass but is somewhat random.
          AA gun kick flyers ass but need to be positioned right.
          Alternative activation.
          And last dropships as key to victory for rapid re-deployment.

          If it is really like chess then I’m probably looking at my new tournament game but they need some teasers out to make sure I can push my gaming group into this game.

            I have high hopes, as well. I think this game could really take wings if it is done well and all the reviews, while lacking a lot of content on the actual rules, are positive.

            All I know is that I am excited to read that rule book!

            @Reecius: Yeah, the rules will be the final verdict. You should have better contacts, do you know why there isn’t anything lately on the game? I understand they need to work with the rules but not answering on facebook or getting some more information on anything is making my work to establish the game locally harder. There was a lot of hype after 6-inch move’s (and the other blog) battle report and the facebook Q/A session. But after that – nothing. If they could have kept the hype up (read: just letting us know they are still alive) I could have doubled the amount of players back home. But now…?

            Unfortunately I don’t know that much. As I understand it, they are just waiting on getting the rules right to ship our beginning of August. It has been a bit of a dip in interest as we wait, but I still am highly anticipating this one!
