Will there be any spectator attendance/tickets available or this event? Or is it player only?

    • Reecius April 1, 2021 8:00 am #

No cost for spectators but bear in mind due to social distancing limitations, we can only allow a certain number of people in the hall so if we’re close to or at that limit, any non playing individuals will have to leave. They will also have to socially distance, etc. I’d say, unless restrictions ease up, best not to bring anyone this year as it is likely going to be a hassle.

Thank you for the quick response. I have my 12 year old son with ASD that weekend who loves warhammer and is learning but is not quite ready to play in an event. he really enjoys checking out the models and watching others play just as.much as he likes to play. We live 10 minutes from Harrah’s so maybe we can come take a quick lap so he can at least see what a large scale tournament is like as he has only seen smaller events at our local LGS, but loved doing so! We will just play it by ear but I know if I told him there was a full scale event 10 minutes away he would want to go check it out!

Will there only be the tournament games this year? Will only those who make it to top 8 on sunday recieve prizes? Is the tournament judged solely on game score or is there paint/hobby/sportsmanship/etc?

    • Reecius April 1, 2021 11:41 am #

This year is likely to be only gaming events this time due to sensible Covid restrictions. In the future it will be a full con. For 40k we give away Best in Faction awards, and 1-3 for best General, Renaissance Person, and best Hobbyist.

Will the terrain layout and missions be sent out ahead of time?

    • Reecius April 9, 2021 10:49 am #

We’re playing standard tournament missions and as we use multiple terrain set-ups it won’t all be standardized, we have several beautiful and functional terrain sets we bring.

What is the policy on Forge World models?

    • Reecius April 11, 2021 7:46 am #

      In regards to what?

      • Drew April 12, 2021 12:45 am #

For example, to be able to play on the stream table, it states that all of a players models must be GW models. Would Forge World be considered a GW model for those purposes?

Is the current cap on tickets for the 40k main a hard cap or can it increase if a threshold is hit with people on the waiting list?

Are 3d printed models permitted in non-streamed games?
