LVO Round 5 Update

lvo.2015

So, the format we’ve been posting in wasn’t working so hot, so we adjust! Here’s a recap of where we’re at!

Currently sitting at the top of the pack with a 4-0 record is;

Matt Root                                        Orks/Orks

Alan B. (PJ Pants)                          Chaos Daemons/Tyranids

Brandon Grant                               Dark Angels/Astra Mil

Nick Nanavati                                 Chaos Daemons/Inquisition

Isreal Sanchez                                Tau Enclave

Nick Rose                                         Space Marines/Blood Angels

Nathanal Woolhouse                      Eldar/Dark Eldar

John Parsons                                   Eldar

Michael Kiser                                   Adeptius Sororitas/Astra Mil

Tyler DeVries                                   Eldar

Ben Cromwell                                  Eldar

Cooper Waddell                              Space Marines

Ian Ager                                          Space Wolves

In the Last round Nick Nanavati had a down to the wire win over Josh Dearth winning 7-5. There is still a good spread of armies at the top. This round some heavy hitters are going at it, Isreal Sanchez and Nick Rose to see if the last Tau player stays in the running! The Ork horde is counting on Matt Root to overcome the Pajama Pants to keep the Waaaaagh! alive!

  1. Kiser army is no joke, I had to play him on table 1, round 4 at onslaught templecon GT a few weeks ago. His sisters list is not an underdog, I careless what the internet says. He was my dark horse pick back on an article on ToF, 3 days before the event started. Hope I dont jinx him.

  2. The other format was better just because i could see how my friends were doing round by round. 🙁 The other format made it feel more professional, like espn or something….

    1. How much AA is there though? I expected the threat of 3-5 Flyrants plus summoning Daemon FMC would instigate more AA from everyone else.

      1. That and 5rant being pretty awful at objective based games. Going second and just running away from them (if you’re fast enough) is a very good strategy.

  3. And no Crons, old or new. I think we can effectively put to bed whatever worry there was about the brokenness of the Decurion, as well as wraiths in general

    1. Just because it doesn’t win out the gate doesn’t mean it’s not good. Granted, I don’t think it’s broken, either. Takes time to sort out the theoretical and the practical.

    1. is there any way to see what the players’ army lists are? I’m really curious what the DA/AM player is running, as well as orks, sisters and the other unusual ones who are still in the fight!

  4. I don’t think claiming one tournament based on a week or two after the codex release and not having an undefeated necron list is proof about the brokenness of the new necron codex. I don’t see harlequins either doesn’t mean those aren’t going to be good units. Let’s at least wait till adepticon and give the necron codex a month or two so people can put together some new models and make a decent decorian list before you write it off.
