Since you guys did a lot of playtesting for GW and thus have a lot of knowledge(generally), of what’s coming down the pipeline, I understand you can’t really talk a whole lot about future release rumors, but are there basically any rumors(that aren’t the rumor engine) that you can talk about? For example, maybe the image that leaked of the space marine tank ( Not a big deal if you can’t, but I was curious.

I cannot answer any questions along that line, sorry.

        Unfortunate but expected.
We also are getting new Start Collecting boxes, are those top secret? So far for Eldar and Tyranids

Anything that GW hasn’t announced yet, I cannot comment on, sorry =(

Given its Red Scorpions and the general look of its paint style I’d put money on it being a Forge World model. Which hopefully means that Ad-Mech/Space Marine/Guard/Tau Imperial Armour book they’ve been teasing for ages isn’t too far off and Forge World Primaris stuff which is sweet.

The bad news about the new missions is that I won’t have a chance to playtest them before SoCal Open. The good news is, the Relic is gone, and the mission pack looks simple enough to figure out on reading it. It’s no substitute for actually playing it, but I feel like I understand how the missions work, at least.

    • Reecius October 13, 2017 10:23 am #

Yeah, that is a bummer but luckily, each mission is pretty similar to the last in basic concept, so after round 1 you should have a good feel for it.

And yes, the Relic is gone, thank the Emperor!

I wont deny CSM are a top contender this year. There could always be an upset from a Xenos faction, but I have a feeling AM with SM allies are going to be on the top tables now that AM has dropped. With Emperors Children I already had 3 games won consecutively, and now Ive switched to Alpha Legion for the benefit of anti shooting for a tournament tomorrow.

Xenos players kinda got shafted this year, hopefully they get a codex by the next GT. Obsec should have already been a rule for all troops universally, and not something to wait for chapter approved to be released IMO and Im not even a Xenos player. Overall, troops not from codexes are borderline pointless to take now in place of more efficient units for combat.

An example would be a full squad of eldar guardian camps an objective. A spearhead detachement leman russ charges them after some shooting. The leman russ now is within 3” of the objective. OBJECTIVE SECURED :-/

Reece thanks for the clarification on FB! All troops are Obsec, Xenos players hope to see you at the SCO!

Hey reecius. Hope i didn’t pass the experation date on when you check these comments. So, i’m considering using AM to augment my GSC. I was hoping i could use my neophytes as catachan (just makes since that genestealer infused humans would be stronger). Would this not count under the new model restrictions??? Even more so if my army contains not GSC Neophtyes and instead all such models were all AM, as to reduce confusion.

So they talked about the malefic lord needing a staff or some thing… um no Frankie they are armed with their bare fists! If you have a weapon on there it ain’t wysiwyg 🙂
