I’m glad you guys didn’t cancel today’s episode. Jason and Pablo did a great job filling in!

Didn’t get to see a picture of the completed commission in the video or in the article. That’d be cool.

As for the list review, a list similar to that was actually used by Joshua Death to place 1st at the Guardian Cup 2016 recently. Joshua’s list had the Gallant Lance + Skyhammer (not as decked out) and a Psykana Division.

Just from looking at the list, I’m guessing this is how it works: Skyhammer, pins opponent in their deployment zone and forces you to deal with them. Simultaneously, the Gallants rush upfield with fleet. Since your hard hitting units are probably tied up by the Skyhammer drop, they’ll be intact. They’ll probably reach your lines for a turn 2 assault and they hit HARD with more extra attacks on the charge than normal.

Meanwhile, in the backfield, the Psykana division does what it does best: cast high warp dice spells reliably. In this case, most likely demon summoning to cap objectives/tarpit (like in Reece’s ATC list).

Brutal list and very hard to deal with.

Wow that sounds like a nasty list! I would cut a couple grav cannons and the flamers for that.

He was running an earlier version at TSHFT as well. Multi-Meltas on the SkyHammer are really cheap, and very effective. At that point, I think he was rounding it out with a WS Allied Detachment for some OS Scouts and Centurions in a Drop Pod with a Hunter’s Eye Librarian. Beat the crap out of me, but it was a really fun game.

        That sounds scary too!

When you’re running KDK, anything that outmatches you in CC is scary as hell 😉

Ugh. I can’t wait for you guys to review Codex: DW. I need it!

I did run a similar list at TSHFT, the one I ran at Guardian Cup has been modified a bit though. I dropped the Skyhammer at Guardian and put in a Librarius Conclave on Bikes, and swapped out the Gallant Lance for the Tripartite Lance. Used the Conclave to buff the Tripartite lance with Invis, +1 Armor, Prescience, Forwarning, etc. And used the Psykana to summon and cap objectives. Worked out really well actually. Was a really good list.

Sounds nasty! I wince just thinking about that buffed up unit of knights. What gives you the most trouble with that list?
