List Review

Hello from Sweden

First off big thanks for all you doing for the wargameing community and the great content you produce.

And now on to my list for you 🙂 i have a Lionsblade strike force with a Librarius conclave.

Battle demi company:

  • Assault squad: 5 man no uppgrades.
  • Devastator: 5 man 4 missile launchers.
  • Company Master: Relic blade, artificer armour.
  • Command squad: Drop pod, apothecary, sacred standard, 4 grav gun.
  • 10 man tac squad: rhino, grav cannon, grav gun.
  • 10 man tac squad: rhino, grav cannon, grav gun.
  • 5 man tac squad: flamer, razorback twin las.

Command:

  • Azrael

Auxillary:

  • 5 scout squad: Bolters

Librarius Conclave:

  • Ezekiel
  • Librarian lvl 2: Auspex, Meltabombs, Eye of the unseen.
  • Librarian Lvl 2 on bike: Auspex, Shroud of Heroes.

Im not the most competitive player and i like to use odd lists. Idea is to put Azrael Ezekiel Librarian Company master in the command squad and drop them in. You have a relentless unit with prefered enemy 12 grav shots and alot of charachters with wounds infront.

The librarian on bike has a 2+ jink with fnp and can either assist ezekiel with spells or just cast by himself.

The rest of the units are obsec and will mostly hang back or grab objectives.

I do lack anti air but can allways snap shot some grav.

I hope you will give some pointers on this list since you guys are more competitive then me since i usually play with my friends.

Thanks

I just did some simple number crunching with the ITC data to look at overall faction performance. If you look at top 3 finishers for each faction, those numbers are pretty tight together. Almost all armies could achieve soaring highs if they were led by the Gods among men who took the top scores…except for Grey Knights, Sisters and Blood Angels. Only Space Marines and Agents of the Imperium performed 10% above average.

However if you expand the calculations to top 10 finishers the effect of the codex (or at least a particular build) over player skill begins to emerge. Eldar finished a ridiculous 40% above average. The second best army was…Orks? Orks finished 21% above average. Maybe those jerks don’t need a Stompa at a 50% discount. Agents of the Imperium, Space Marines and Necrons round out the top 5.

    Here’s the complete data:

Awesome! Thanks for doing that. It’s always fun to look at the numbers.

You have to be a little careful with those numbers. Because only the top 4 (?) scores are counted. So the boost to someone finishing decently at LVO might be bigger for one player than for others.

Yeah, what would be fun for next year is to add some columns to show each player’s top scores so that it is easy to see how much they could jump up.

    Oooh fancy iPad usage!

I’m hoping the knight joust gets some coverage. I really wanna see how that goes.

    Good luck with running everything!

The knight joust will certainly be covered with photos and articles but may not make the stream as it is a nighttime event.

Wulfen with stormshields and Sanctuary looks quite strong, can they leap with IC’s attached?

    • abusepuppy February 1, 2016 4:10 pm
      #

No, just as with Skyhammer and other, similar effects all models in the squad would need to be able to do so in order for it to work. So if the IC didn’t have a rule that allowed Run + Charge (and currently there aren’t any Imperial characters that have such a rule), the Wulfen unit would be prohibited from declaring a charge.

I lolled when Reece got thrown by the “Seven thirty eight”. Did it make sense to most Americans? It makes perfect sense for Australians. A very slight pause, and the fact that you wouldn’t expect Australians to show up perfectly on the minute… 😛
