Pre-Game Analysis

This is going to be a tough fight! Nurgle Chaos can be nearly as resilient as Necrons. Frankie will be putting down some serious firepower with 6 Obliterators and a Heldrake. He’ll also have 3 units of Plague Marines in Rhinos, which provide a solid group of ObSec troops. Coming in Nurgle’s sacred number of 7 per unit, I am sure the putrid lord will be blessing them with good luck, too! Most worrying though, are the Chaos Lord and Be’Lakor, who have the ability to beat up on my units by themselves in melee, and then run me down. That is the biggest weakness of most Necron units and I know Frankie will be looking to take advantage of it. Be’Lakor’s psychic powers will also come into play as I have nothing to stop them other than luck!

I will have more units than Frankie, though, and the ability to take a beating and keep on ticking. My game plan will be to play to objectives and to try and contain the melee threats to my army.

Pre-Game Analysis

The world’s greatest tactics for tonight are quite simple.  I am going to drive them before me and listen to the lamentations of there false gods. Haha but more likely I am going to keep my army mostly together and protect Belakor with the Plague Marines. I will need Belakor to survive so that he can kill Reece’s backfield. Unfortunately Necrons have a high leadership so Psychic Shriek will have little to no effect.

My lord and Plague Marines will try to hold mid field as long as possible with a little Obliterator support. I will also need to kill the Ghost Ark early so that it cant contest my backfield late game. The game will be won or lost mainly on Belakor, 350 points of hopefully badass haha. Hope you all enjoy the Chaos Victory!

Looking forward to this one! May not get to watch it live sadly. Best of luck to Frankie, may your recent bout of loyalist love not taint your chaos rolls. Also good luck to Reece. Should be a good game.

    Nice Batrep!

Reece, I would highly recommend in your list dropping that one extra Warrior and upgrading the Destroyer Lord’s Warscythe into the Voidreaper. With only WS4, the Master Crafted is very much worth it, and Fleshbane + Preferred Enemy is really amazing (especially against those tough MoN stuff). If you’re not taking another Artifact on him, it’s only 10 points more than a Warscythe for lots of benefits!
